WORLD - The Regal Airport Hotel, Hong Kong has been awarded the Best Airport Hotel Worldwide at the World Airport Awards 2011, held in Copenhagen recently.
This is the first year airport hotels have been recognised as part of the annual industry awards and the Regal was ranked first over the competition, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Singapore and Sofitel London Heathrow, UK.
The annual World Airport Survey, performed by Skytrax, collected responses from more than 11.4m questionnaires distributed to passengers, representing over 100 nationalities and coveringmore than 240 airports worldwide. The Skytrax survey was established in 1999.
The survey evaluates traveller experiences across 39 different airport service and product factors - from check-in, arrivals, transfer through to departure at the gate.
