USA - Plans have been approved for a 5,500sqm exhibition hall at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) to open in October.
The North Nevada Expo Center will replace the 8,500sqm Phil Long Expo Center which was purchased last year by a local church and converted into a place of worship.
If the venue succeeds following its US$3m renovation, it will be able to expand further into the building’s southern half, doubling its floor space.
Earlier this year, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research announced that the North American exhibition industry had continued its rebound from the recession.
