GREECE – A new association for Greek exhibition and event contractors is using the upcoming Euroshop event to launch its services.
The Hellenic Association of Exhibition and Event Contractors (HAEEC) will be officially unveiled at EuroShop 2011 in Dusseldorf on 26 February to 2 March.
The association represents all Greek professionals in the field of events constructions, decoration and temporary architecture, actively promoting the Greek exhibition and conference industry and bringing together companies active in the sector.
According to a spokesman for the association, the HAEEC’s first task was to research the most important issues troubling the exhibitions sector in Greece. The results of its survey claim these are: unfair competition; the relations among construction companies, organisers and exhibition venues, and labour relations.
“A key issue that needs to be addressed is the official trade certification of the companies that offer their products and services in the field of exhibition-conference constructions,” said the spokesman. “This is an issue that affects both the event contractors themselves, as well as their customers: organisers and exhibitors.”
