Messe Frankfurt France launches apparel exhibition

PARIS - Messe Frankfurt France is launching a French edition of its garment manufacture and fashion accessories brand, Apparel Sourcing.

The 2011 show will take place from 19 to 22 September, and is expected to include 200 exhibitors including the China Sourcing group CTAF, a long-term partner at textiles show Texworld.

Apparel Sourcing France, aimed to be a semi-annual meeting alongside Texworld, will be held in Hall 1 of the Paris Le Bourget Exhibition Centre, while Texworld occupies Hall 2.

The move follows last year’s debut of the Apparel Sourcing fair in New York, and means Apparel Sourcing Paris will take place on the same dates and at the same location as Texworld.

“This is a natural development for Texworld, where the range offered by clothing manufacturers, particularly at the September shows, was increasing substantially,” said Messe Frankfurt France president Michael Scherpe. “To ensure our visitors enjoy an environment that is more adapted to their needs, we took up the challenge in launching Apparel Sourcing.”

“The demand certainly exists and we want to respond to it with a consistent offer in surroundings that are better suited and remain professional,” he added.

This spring will see several Polish fashion events come together for the first time under the umbrella name of Poznań Fashion Fair.
