Large exhibition pavilion sells out at CES

USA - The organiser of international technology exhibition CES plans on expanding its exhibitor pavilion offerings after selling out its iLounge pavilion in less than two hours.

The 4,645sqm area held 200 exhibitors at this year’s CES in January. Due to brisk sales, show organiser CEA plans on expanding beyond the pavilion's current footprint.

"Exhibitors made their intentions loud and clear, purchasing the space selection quicker than ever before," said CEA's senior VP of events and conferences Karen Chupka. "It's evident there is strong industry demand for a showcase of these popular products at International CES, and space for the iLounge Pavilion will increase as a result."

At the 2011 show, the pavilion showcased ‘i-related’ products like iPad accessories, app-controlled devices, earphones, and games.

This year’s CES was also the first one to allow a handful of consumer visitors.
