UBM claims attendees spend almost four hours at virtual finance event

CHINA - UBM Asia says its recent virtual event, the Shanghai Finance Virtual Career Fair, drew 2,320 registrants and 1,252 live attendees, spending an average of three hours 44 minutes ‘in’ the event.

The virtual event, organised by eFinancialCareers and supported by the Shanghai Financial Association, was targeted at finance professionals and ran in both English and Chinese languages.

UBM Studios, one of the leading proponents of virtual events and virtual business solutions, provided the platform for the event, which took place on the back of a Shanghai municipal government mandate to increase the competitiveness of Shanghai as a global financial hub.

The purpose of the event was to attract candidates with overseas banking experience for the exhibiting banks, securities firms and exchanges to recruit. The fair gave attendees a chance to visit employer booths, view and apply for jobs, upload resumes, chat with recruiters, and network with peers, all without leaving their computer.
