Hong Kong CEC appoints new event planning manager

CHINA - The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) has promoted Jessica Wong to the position of Event Planning and Co-ordination Manager and appointed Katherine Tang to a newly-created role of Operations Planning and Co-ordination Manager.

Wong will lead a team of event managers to give advice on event planning to organisers and liaise with internal teams to provide logistics and technical support, security and housekeeping services. She joined the management company HML in 1989 and was previously the deputy head of the department.

Tang’s new responsibility is to evaluate customers’ feedback, identify service gaps and develop new policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and performance standard.

“With some 1,100 events of a variety of nature and scale held at HKCEC every year, it is a real challenge to ensure operation success,” says HML’s Managing Director, Cliff Wallace.
