IT&CM China 2011 chases international business with new features

CHINA – IT&CM China 2011 has responded to industry demand with two themed pavilions showcasing unique venues and wellness offerings.

The first pavilion will showcase innovative and unique convention venues, capitalising on buyers’ observations that clients are increasingly requesting venues with wow factor and no longer satisfied with cookie-cutter solutions.

The second pavilion aims to strike a chord with corporate buyers, comprising a collection of health and medical suppliers with travel wellness offerings, an area of growing importance in both China’s MICE and Corporate Travels sectors.

The Future Leaders Forum, organised by IMEX, will also return this year, seeking to hone the international exhibition and MICE industry’s next generation of leaders.

“These students aspire to be leaders of China’s MICE industry in the near future,” said IMEX director of international relations Tom Hulton. “This forum will give them the opportunity to learn more about their career opportunities from today’s industry leaders.

“The Forum, now firmly established as a ‘must-attend’ event for students, demonstrates some of the exciting initiatives that China is taking to ensure its own leadership in the international MICE market.”

IT&CM China 2011, a counterpart to IT-CM Asia, takes place at the ShanghaiMart Expo from 13 to 15 April, themed ‘Leading China’s Next MICE Wave’. The event targets travel agents meeting planners, travel management companies, professional conference and exhibition organisers and incentive and motivation houses.
