Messe Frankfurt to launch third textile show in China

CHINA - Messe Frankfurt has announced the launch of its third textiles exhibition in China this April.

The Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Spring Edition is being organised with the Sub-Council of Textile Industry and the China Home Textile Association and will take place from 2 to 4 April at the Intex Shanghai and Shanghaimart. It sits within the organiser’s Heimtextil brand and alongside two similar exhibitions in China – Intertextile Guangzhou Home Textile China and Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles.

“The synergy effects of these three shows will deliver even more opportunities for suppliers and buyers to boost their business domestically and internationally,” said Messe Frankfurt (HK) trade fairs director Wendy Wen.

According to Messe Frankfurt, 190 exhibitors have signed up for the new Spring event so far from the bedding and upholstery manufacturing sectors in Yuhang and Haining.

The next Intertextile Guangzhou Home Textile China will take place at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from 18 to 21 March 2011 and is co-located with the China International Furniture Fair and four other home-related events. It attracted 18,475 visitors in 2010.

The autumn version of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will be held in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 29 to 31 August. The 2010 edition was attended by 38,696 visitors and 1,000 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions.

Messe Frankfurt claimed 2010 was its best year in terms of sales revenues.
