Mumbai to host Indian Bauma event

INDIA – Mumbai is to host a new construction fair organised by the company behind Germany’s giant construction tradeshow Bauma.

BC India 2011 is a joint venture between two international trade show organisers - Bauma organiser Messe München International and AEM, organiser of Conexpo-Con/AGG.  Organisers hope to establish the show as an exhibition for construction machinery, building material machinery, mining machineries, commercial vehicles and allied industries

The event will be held at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai on 8-11 February.

"Visitors will have the opportunity to see and compare latest technologies and innovations from manufacturers from all over the world,” said Thomas Loeffler, CEO of BC Expo India. “This will set a positive stimulus for the demand of new equipment in order to improve construction performances."

“We wanted to bring it into India as the market potential in this country is huge," added Loeffler.

Around 460 exhibitors from 28 nations are expected to participate at the event, with pavilions being taken by nine countries including Australia, China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain and the UK.
