ETF voted best show team for gas expo

AUSTRALIA – Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF) has been voted Best Show Team at the 2010 Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) awards for its part in delivering liquefied natural gas exhibition LNG16 in Algeria in April.

This year’s LNG event was marked by a series of problems including an unfinished venue, a hotel room shortage and the subsequent need for dredging a slipway to enable two cruise ships to act as floating hotels for the event. ETF worked in association with international exhibition organiser ITE to overcome these problems.

"Our LNG team’s performance was truly outstanding having sold out the exhibition and exceeded sponsorship targets, to deliver a sophisticated trade exhibition in a venue in Algeria, which was still under construction, and with the Icelandic volcano erupting only four days before opening,” said ETF GM and CEO, Jodie Richmond.

ETF specialises in developing exhibitions for industry associations, and has now delivered the LNG Exhibition for associations on five continents. Its international portfolio includes LNG 17 Houston 2013, the World Gas Conference Kuala Lumpur 2012 and RSVP in London.

ETF’s exhibition director at LNG16, Rodney Cox, pictured with operations manager Belinda Maund, and their team, met the EEAA’s award criteria of accessibility, responsiveness, customer service, creativity, innovation and client/show research.

“Fundamentally the exhibition industry sells commercial opportunity and trust,” said Cox. “It was the trust our team had earned with our host association and exhibitors that proved to be the vital element with such a difficult event.”
