UNITED DRUG ACQUIRES WORLDEVENTS GROUP

WORLD - International events management company, WorldEvents Group, has been acquired by the Irish pharmaceutical and healthcare company, United Drug.

The UK-based management agency and professional conference organiser has specialised in producing conferences and events for the healthcare/pharmaceutical sector for the past 24 years. Apart from its Founder and Chairman, Graham Keene, all other members of the WorldEvents Group Board are remaining with the company. CEO, Martin Parry, will report in to United Drug’s Main Board Director, Chris Corbin.

United Drug owns a number of companies spread across three divisions and two continents, operating primarily in the UK and Ireland, and the US. In recent years it acquired Procon Conferences and Universal Conference and Incentive Travel. In 2008, United Drug merged both to form UniversalProcon. 

WorldEvents clients include Allergan, Astellas, BP, Chanel, Deloitte, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal, NHS and Pfizer. In 2009, it managed over 330 events in over 40 countries for over 33,000 attendees.
