In-Cosmetics Asia chalks up record visitor numbers

THAILAND – Reed Exhibitions has claimed In-cosmetics Asia has proved the most popular personal care ingredients event in the region after chalking up record-breaking attendance of 4,691 visitors this year.

The Bangkok-based event took place from 2-4 November and reported a 35 per cent increase on its 2008 iteration at the same location. The show was held in Singapore in 2009.

Reed claimed this year’s show at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) attracted its highest number of international attendees at 37 per cent, or over 1,700 international visitors. The figure included individuals from the Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Japan and India. The show also had 232 companies represented from 25 countries.

In-cosmetics Asia exhibition manager, Sarah Gibson, said highlights included its education programme and seminars, marketing trends presentations, a new Innovation Zone for product launches and the associated Facial Beauty Conference.

The 2011 In-cosmetics Asia will return to Bangkok from 2-4 November 2011. The organiser said it will host next year’s event in the same week as the IFSCC Conference, which focuses on the ingredients and finished product manufacturing industries.

The sister In-cosmetics event in Italy is also expecting to break records in 2011 after booking 340 exhibitors in for stands.
