World Travel Market confirms visitor increase

UK - World Travel Market (WTM), a global event for the travel industry, saw an unaudited 10 per cent increase in visitors for 2010.

An unaudited total of 26,908 visitors attended WTM over its four days compared to 24,402 visitors at WTM 2009.

As previously reported in EW, there were also more than 5,000 exhibitors including 628 main stand exhibitors, compared to 607 in 2009. WTM was held at Excel London from 8-11 November.

“The fact the number of year-on-year visitors increased on every day is particularly impressive and great news for the exhibitors, as it supports the conversations I had with them that a high amount of business was conducted at the event,” said WTM exhibition director, Simon Press.
