USA - UBM Electronics’ brands EE Times and EDN are joining the Medical Device Media Group and Events Division of UBM Canon as a partner for the DesignMed exhibition and conference in California.
DesignMed, aimed at those involved in the design of electronics-based medical devices, takes place at the Anaheim Convention Centre on 8-10 February 2011.
The event will be held in conjunction with Medical Design and Manufacturing (MD&M) West, one of the largest tradeshows in North America focusing on advances in materials, components, electronics, machinery, systems and services for the design and manufacture of medical products.
"The partnership demonstrates UBM's powerful reach to medical electronics professionals,” said UBM Electronics VP David Blaza, adding that medical electronics design was an “important and growing market segment”.
United Business Media acquired medical and manufacturing tradeshow and media company Canon Communications from Spectrum Equity Investors and Apprise Media for US$287m in September.
