Reed drops Ontario golf show

NORTH AMERICA – Reed Exhibitions has withdrawn from organising the Ontario PGA Golf Merchandise Show, instead concentrating efforts on the annual Orlando version of the show.

“We feel we can better serve the North American golf market at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando,” said John McGeary, VP of Reed Exhibitions. “On average the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando attracts more than 1,000 Canadian golf industry professionals who come to buy, network and attend the breadth of education opportunities that we currently cannot provide at the event in Toronto,” he continued.

Reed has organised the Ontario show since 2001.

In Europe, the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre announced the March 2011 launch of the Mötesplats GOLF expo. Also, the European professional golf associations held their first-ever ‘learning zone’ in September’s Golf Europe fair in Munich.
