G2E Asia promotes industry with scholarship prize

MACAO - The Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) will help four students kick-start careers in the gaming industry with the launch of a series of scholarships.

Working in partnership with the University of Macao, G2E will offer four students a MOP$13,000 (US$1,700) prize and chance to attend the G2E Asia 2011 conference and exhibition for a first-hand look at the Asian gaming industry.

“As the Asian gaming industry continues to mature and diversify,” said VP of Reed Exhibitions Hong Kong, Brian Thomas, “it has become increasingly important to identify and cultivate talented young people who will contribute to the continued development of our industry.

“The G2E Asia Scholarship Programme enables us to continue our ongoing commitment to the industry by providing future leaders with early exposure to the industry, field experience and resources,” he continued.

G2E Asia 2011 will include a conference programme from 7 to 9 June and an exhibition from 8 to 9 June at the Venetian Macao.

Reed Exhibitions teamed up with Swan Events earlier this year to bid for G2E Europe.
