Russian recovery to bolster ITE expansion

RUSSIA - The successful launch of ITE’s Industrial Trade Fair Moscow signals strong Russian recovery from the recession.

The show, which took place from 28 September to 1 October at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre in Moscow, was organised by ITE in a joint venture with Deutsche Messe for the industrial automation and surface treatments industry.

According to ITE, the show sold 4,500sqm and brought more than 5,000 visitors.

ITE CEO Russell Taylor told EW that success in Russia will help fund expansion into other developing markets.

“Over the next three years, ITE should look for a way to build business in Brazil, China or the Middle East,” he said, referring to the emerging BRIC markets. “We have got the R and the I. If we could add a B or a C it would be nice.”

ITE this year organised Petrotech, India’s major oil and gas event, for the first time. The show opens 31 October in Delhi and is organised with local partners, including iTEN Media, the Petrotech Society and the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.
