UBM sees 10 per cent revenue rise

UK - Event revenues for United Business Media (UBM) in the year to date have climbed almost 10 per cent on the nine months to September 2009.

In an interim management statement, the company reported revenue of £220m (US$346.7m) in the nine months to September 2010, up from £200m for the same period in 2009. Event operating profits also rose by 20.6 per cent to £59.8m.

“UBM’s continued solid performance over the first nine months of the year puts us firmly on track to meet our expectations for the full year,” said UBM CEO David Levin, “although uncertainties over the wider economic environment remain.”

“Our events continue to trade strongly, particularly in China, Brazil and India but with good performances too from our event franchises in the US and Europe,” added Levin.
