SWITZERLAND - Claudia Scherrer has been appointed MD of trade show and meetings travel specialist Congrex Travel.
Scherrer (pictured) replaces Adriana Spitteler, who has been tasked with setting up the Congrex Vancouver office for the North American market.
Working out of the Basel office, Scherrer has been with Congrex Travel for nine years, assuming the MD role from her previous position as operations director, which will now be taken over by Kristina Hultgren.
A spokesman for the reorganised management team says it plans to strengthen the core values of parent company Congrex Group, including a major drive towards consistency across all of its international operations.
