Marketing agency signs agreement with event technology provider

WORLD - Event marketing agency George P Johnson (GPJ) has recently signed an agreement with show technology provider Active Network.

The partnership agreement means the two companies have formalised a business development arrangement that allows GPJ to offer customers its marketing expertise alongside Active Network's broad event technology platform.

"This allows us to move forward, adding to our services with the support of developing new and innovative solutions with Active Network," said senior VP, client services worldwide and general manager of GPJ, Jeffrey Rutchik.

As part of the deal, Active Network has purchased all of GPJ's technology assets, which include registration, social networking, agenda-building, mobile and feedback mechanisms.

"What was sold was the intellectual property around GPJ’s customer-facing technology," said general manager of Active Network's events division, JR Sherman. "That would include its Mobile Promote suite, which is a great win as we're looking to build a standardised platform across all of the Active Network for mobile."
