Buffalo Niagara upgrades venue offering

USA - The Buffalo Niagara Convention Centre reopened this week after more than three months of refurbishment.

The venue was closed from mid-June through September as construction workers gave it a US$7m renovation.

“What it means for Buffalo is simple,” said Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitors Bureau board of directors, Gary Praetzel, to local news channel WIVB. “It means more business. Before, we didn’t really have the ‘convention centre’ product to really sell. Now we have a tremendously competitive product.”

Included among the upgrades are a new main entrance and electronic marquee, refurbished exhibition hall and redesigned kitchen.
