New aerospace and defence show primed for launch

USA – Business-to-business media company Canon Communications is launching an exhibition targeting the USA’s US$214bn aerospace and defence industries.

“AeroTec is a natural extension of our 375,000 net square foot Anaheim event,” says sales director for Canon’s event division, Joshua Dome. “California’s US$30bn aerospace and defence sector needs a dedicated industry show and AeroTec is it.”

The first AeroTec Conference and Exposition will run from 8 to 10 February 2011 in the Anaheim Convention Centre, co-located with Pacific Design and Manufacturing, ATX (Automation Technology Expo) West, PrecisionTec, Electronics West, PLASTEC West, Green Manufacturing Expo, WestPack, DesignMed, and Medical Design and Manufacturing.

The US aerospace and defence industry  is concentrated in California, the Southeast and Texas. Canon plans to target each geographical area with its new event. As well as the Anaheim exhibition, AeroTec will co-locate within the company’s advanced manufacturing events in Orlando (2011) and Fort Worth (2012).
