EW shines a spotlight on the winners of 2022’s World Exhibition Stand Awards
Seventy-two winners of the World Exhibition Stand Awards have been announced, hailing from global creative experiential agencies. The winners have created designs for live stands, and for digital experiences of major brands - including Android, Dell, Accenture, Qualcomm, and Phillips.
James Simpkins, global chief growth officer of 2Heads, one of the award winners, says: “Being a World Exhibition Stand Award winner is a great achievement which everyone connected to 2Heads are very proud of.”
The judges remarked that competition was very high this year, with an increased level of scoring in comparison to years preceding 2022. On this year’s line-up, one judge commented: “An unprecedented year for high quality entries. The 2022 World Exhibition Stand Awards have been a joy to judge.”
The featured brands have been investing in the events that they are attending post-pandemic.
A client of Platinum award winner Enigma Creative Solutions, Accenture Consumer Industries (who themselves won a Diamond award) explains that they were, “extremely impressed with the level of strategic planning and onsite delivery provided by Enigma in the lead up to, and at, MWC Barcelona this year.”
The mission
The aim of the 2022 awards was to recognise the greatest achievements in exhibition design and build, and to celebrate the year’s most impressive digital event projects.
The winners list includes a range of agencies, such as ASTOUND Group, Creaplan N.V, RTH Plc, Trade Group, Murayama Inc, OP3 Global, Pinaps Global, OrangeDoor, UNLTD_XYZ.
Entries for the 2022 awards serviced some of the biggest live events and groups across the world, including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), ICE London, Formula 1 Abu Dhabi, and Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI). They also included household brand names, including Philips, Netjets, Accenture, Android, NASA, Hisense, Bombardier, and Zurich Insurance Group.
Lisa Farnfield, the award’s campaign manager, said: “Each year the quality of the entries seems to get better and better, and 2022’s winners have been particularly excellent. The industry really bounced back post-pandemic and brands are back investing in face-to-face events.”
Farnfield added that the World Exhibition Stand Awards 2023 will be opening to entries at the end of 2022. She recommends that agencies document their creativity and prepare pictures and videos of their work ahead of the awards.
