Jaarbeurs looks for a new CEO with Albert Arp to leave post on 1 January 2022

Dutch exhibition and event organiser Jaarbeurs is looking for a new CEO, following the announcement that Albert Arp will be leaving the role on 1 January 2022. 

Arp is leaving the Utrecht-based company to become CEO of Cardiology Centers Netherlands . His duties at Jaarbeurs will be taken over by CFO Franka Morssink from 1 January, pending the appointment of a successor.

Arp: “There is no such thing as the right time to go. I have devoted myself with full energy, dedication and pleasure to Jaarbeurs and its VNU subsidiaries in China and Thailand. It is a wonderful company with great economic and social significance for the city and region. In line with the changing wishes of our customers, Jaarbeurs has also changed rapidly and remains relevant for now and the future. We entered the pandemic top-fit ​​and come out healthy. There is a strong organisation that I can say goodbye to with confidence. I am grateful for the opportunities that have been offered to me and the many years of collaboration with so many great colleagues and stakeholders inside and outside Jaarbeurs.”

Evert Greup, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Jaarbeurs said: “The Jaarbeurs has been under the energetic leadership of Albert Arp for almost six years. A period in which the operational state of affairs improved significantly, good steps were taken in areas such as sustainability and digitisation, international activities flourished, and the plans for 'De Nieuwe Jaarbeurs' were concretised. The Supervisory Board is very grateful to him for his dedication, commitment, involvement and professionalism during those years, and wishes him much pleasure and success in his next challenge.”

The Supervisory Board has now started the procedure for finding a good successor.
