UFI Awards – don’t miss the 6 March deadline!

Global association for the exhibition industry, UFI, is encouraging a new crop of applications for its prestigious UFI Award programme for 2020.

The programme acknowledges and rewards outstanding achievements and outcomes made by exhibition industry professionals. Applications must be in by 6 March 2020.

Entries are encouraged for what is a globally unique industry programme to promote your initiative to customers, business partners and co-workers, while increasing brand awareness among industry peers and driving new sales leads.

Companies can submit more than one project if it corresponds to the application criteria. UFI offers awards in the following six categories and applicants are advised to select the categories and topics below that best support their overall business goals.

Human Resources: "Corporate Culture as a Competitive Advantage"

Digital Innovation: "What is Digital Innovation for you?"

Industry Partner: "Business Innovation"

Marketing: "Multi-channel, Cross-generational marketing"

Operations & Services: "Best industry cooperation to enhance customer experience"

Sustainable Development: "Waste Management"

It takes time to write a good award entry, and UFI recognises this by offering the winners:

- Industry-wide recognition

- One complimentary registration to the 87th UFI Global Congress in Muscat, Oman 9–12 November 2020

- A speaking slot to present award-winning idea(s) during the Best Practices Special Interest Group, an integral part of the Congress programme

- Significant coverage in major international tradeshow publications.

Winners will also be honoured at an awards ceremony during the UFI Global Congress.

The UFI Awards seek out the leading lights of the exhibition industry, whose commitment, leadership and experience have helped them achieve success.

They are run by UFI Thematic Working Groups consisting of experts who identify the hot topics in each area of our industry.

A reminder also of two other separate major UFI Awards: Firstly the International Fair Poster Competition, which attracted 50 entries from 11 exhibition organisers in nine countries in 2019. The jury evaluated all eligible posters based on interpretation of the exhibition topic, design concept and integrity and original presentation of the event’s technical parameters, dates, venue, and exhibition name.

The Next Generation Leadership Grant

This programme is spread over 18 months and will be awarded to up to five industry professionals in 2020. Applications are invited from full-time employees within the exhibition industry who have no more than 10 years of work experience in the industry. Successful applicants would have to devote an estimated 3-5 hours per month to the programme and interested parties have until 6 March to apply.
