Organisers of the 7th edition of Turkish industry tradeshow, ACE of M.I.C.E. Exhibition by Turkish Airlines, say their show attracted 15,000 visitors at the Istanbul Congress Center 22-24 January.
Highlights of the 2020 show included the B2B Speed Network Event on the second day of the show and the Vestel Production Talks conference broke new ground.
The Istanbul MICE Summit held on the last day was moderated by Volkan Ataman, President of organisers, Tourism Media Group, examined what could be done for Istanbul to become a leading MICE destination. The conference gathered leading players from the London, Geneva and Prague Convention bureaus. There were also a reported 230 international buyers from 54 countries.
Organisers said they had “set out together to raise the bar of the industry and that they hoped to raise it further on 10-12 February 2021.
Social evenings included video mapping shows, music groups, a DJ and dance performances, as well as an evening boat trip on the Bosphorus.
With some slicker registration procedures and more sessions in English, there is plenty of room to build ACE of M.I.C.E. into a truly international first-tier industry show.
