Scotland’s Trade Fair comes to Glasgow

Scotland’s Trade Fair is coming to Glasgow’s SEC Centre on 19 January.

The national trade show features 575 companies exhibiting thousands of products in clothing, textiles, jewellery, fashion accessories, beauty & bath products, stationery, giftware, gift food & speciality fine food.

The show this year will feature a ‘Talking Shop’ area where retail experts will share tips, experience and knowledge in the sector. Topics will include cybercrime, social media and tourism.

Nessie’s Den returns for the second year when industry insiders - the Nessies - will give their advice and feedback to selected exhibitors, based loosely on the format of Dragon's Den.

The Nessies are Gemma McCue, Buyer from The National Trust for Scotland, Soni Ahmed from Maia Gifts and Karen Shand of Proposals, Callander. This will take place in the Talking Shop at 1pm on Monday 20th January.

Mark Saunders, Show Director says: “Scotland’s Trade Show is far more than just a simple trade show. Here many companies are launching themselves or new ranges or products, visitors and exhibitors are able to network and glean valuable information to grow their businesses. Shops can get ahead of their competitors to source new goods AND in the quiet month of January can enjoy some downtime in Glasgow with its many cultural and culinary offerings. See you on 19th Jan!”
