The UK's Retail Technology Show (RTS) is to host 10,000 people when it expands into Olympia London’s National Hall this month – a 70% year-on-year increase from 2022.
Organiser Nineteen Group event director Matthew Bradley says the show, which takes place, 26-27 April sold out a month and a half ago, with an “enormous amount” pre-booked for next year.
The show, which will now take place in Olympia’s Grand Hall and National Hall, is set to host 100 more suppliers, alongside a speaker programme that includes Stephen Bartlett, Jake Humphrey and Peter Cowgill.
Bradley says this year’s marketing campaign, which billed the show as ‘retail’s golden ticket event’, was key to its success so far. The campaign saw prizes such as scratch cards and golden tickets sent out to attendees.
“That isn’t just a gimmick, we do value it as the must-attend event in the retail sector. There’s going to be a real theme to how the show is dressed and how it looks. We’ve presented the show like it’s a movie.
“We’ve created a lot of original content but also taken ideas from exhibitions, concerts and sporting events to make this feel unique, and not your typical trade show,” says Bradley.
