ExCeL London will host the IAAPA Expo Europe from 12 – 15 September, which marks the first time the UK has hosted the show since 2011.
As the annual event is the flagship European trade show of The Global Association for the Attractions Industry (IAAPA), 2022’s edition will topically address the recovering tourism industry in the UK’s Jubilee year.
This event will showcase the attractions industry’s latest trends, innovations, and new technologies. IAAPA Expo Europe is set to host industry professionals across a range of businesses, including amusement and theme parks, zoos and aquariums, family entertainment centres, historic and cultural tourist attractions, museums and science centres, shopping malls, hotels, and retailers.
IAAPA has stated that 470 exhibitors are currently registered to attend the show. These exhibitors are expected to showcase attractions including rides, VR, and motion simulators.
Products also exhibited include design and theming, food and beverage, health and safety, point of sale, playground equipment, arcades and coin machines, and pools and water equipment.
The show has stated that its programme is designed to allow visitors to explore the sector’s latest developments, products, and services, while also networking with industry peers.
IAAPA Expo Europe’s content will include a four-day education conference, where speakers will deliver their insights on sustainability, guest experience, technology, and safety.
Peter van der Schans, executive director and vice president of IAAPA EMEA, said: “Our European membership benefits from us changing the Expo location every year. Hosting this year’s show in London offers the global attractions industry an opportunity to showcase their brands and network as we continue to rebound.”
