Romina Gowin-Becker (pictured) will be taking over at the helm of Messe Frankfurt’s department for congress and conference business, as of 1 January 2019. She will be replacing Claudia Delius-Fisher, who is retiring after 31 years of service.
A Business Administration graduate, Gowin-Becker began her career at Messe Frankfurt in 2001, where she completed a dual work and study programme, specialising in trade fair, congress and event management. After working for a year in New Zealand, she took on a number of different project management functions at Messe Frankfurt.
Since 2013, she has been responsible for Messe Frankfurt’s Kap Europa venue as Head of Project Management.
Johann Thoma, Vice-President of Guest Events, says: “We are delighted that we have been able to fill this challenging position with a colleague from our own ranks. Romina Gowin-Becker has a wealth of experience in the congress and conference business and is therefore ideally positioned to continue these activities successfully within the Locations business field.”
Around 170 international congresses and conferences are held at Messe Frankfurt each year.
