Dubai - The Dubai Airshow has achieved an 18 per cent increase in visitor numbers.
The trade event at Airport Expo Dubai, which ran over five days between 15 and 19 November, attracted 52,978 visitors from 138 countries, an increase of 18 per cent on the previous show in 2007.
Alison Weller, director of airshow organiser F&E Aerospace, says: “Our assigned delegation officers were involved in organising tours and meetings throughout the five days of the airshow, and the exhibition halls and static park area were thronged, right up until the doors closed.
“Exhibitors favour the Dubai Airshow because it’s strictly a trade-only exhibition - visitors are there to see the latest products and services and negotiate deals. Without doubt, this Dubai Airshow has been a platform for doing business, giving exhibitors a better and more profitable return on investment.”
The next airshow will be in Dubai between 30 October and 3 November 2011. There is a price freeze on exhibitor space until the end of 2010.
