UK - The largest medical exhibition and conference to be hosted by the UK comes to the capital this month.
Taking place at Excel London, Gastro 2009 will cover all aspects of gastroenterology, and for the first time will bring together the associations: The United European Gastroenterology Federation, the World Gastroenterology Organisation, the World Organisation of Digestive Endoscopy and the British Society of Gastroenterology.
Managing director of Excel London, David Pegler, says the city has much to attract events of this type and scale. “We sell London, not Excel. The city has unrivalled social experience, is seen as a centre of learning in the medical world, is affordable and easy to get to.”
The event, which takes place 21-25 November, includes a 28,000 square metre exhibition and will attract 15,000 delegates over five days. It is expected to bring £30m to the capital.
