Singapore - Singapore Expo is promising ‘Value, value, value’, with two new packages targeted at MICE organisers.
“We’ve put our ears to the ground and especially in the past year ‘Value-For-Money’ has been the mantra among organisers,” says deputy GM of Singex Venues, Chandran Nair, who believes the schemes “will assure organisers of our commitment to their success”.
There are two distinctive packages: The Enhanced New Trade Show Scheme and Simply Expo.
The enhanced scheme is an upgrade of the New Trade Show Scheme first launched in 2006 and aimed at assisting organisers develop and grow new shows, while reducing substantially their up-front capital risk.
To qualify for the scheme, the B2B trade event must be:
• Held for the first time at Singex
• Held within its own dedicated hall (or part hall) with a separate entrance from any
concurrently held event
• Different in profile to existing shows organised by the same organiser
• Specific in its identity (i.e logo), and have dedicated exhibitor and visitor promotional materials
• No threat to any existing tenancy from another show held either concurrently or held on alternative dates by the same organiser at Singapore Expo
The ‘upgrade’, the venue claims, adds more incentives to organisers to anchor new exhibitions at the venue, including complimentary PR support and web banner placement, as well as use of a registration counter. There is also a reward system, with points redeemable against services from hall rental, A&P space, hotel rooms, to F&B.
The Simply Expo element is a bundle a series of value packages for the centre’s meeting space and catering services. There are also offers on entertainment and adventure programmes.
Singex is the largest MICE centre in Singapore, with 10 exhibition halls.
