Mack-Brooks Exhibitions has announced, 2 August, that SIFER, a French trade fair dedicated to the international railway industry, will be back for a 12th edition, in hybrid form, 26–28 October 2021, in Lille Grand Palais.
SIFER has become a meeting point for players in the rail industry, including major contractors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, operators and transport management authorities. Every two years, the event aims to reflect the major changes at the heart of the industry, as well as on-going and future challenges.
This new edition will take place against the backdrop of Covid-19, which has considerably affected the economy on a global scale, particularly the rail industry. SIFER aims to play a part in helping the sector get back on track to recover from the pandemic. Their new hybrid format will enable attendees to take part onsite or digitally, while offering all exhibitors and visitors a platform to meet, exchange and conduct business.
Mack-Brooks Exhibitions also, however, announced the postponement of Fastener Fair Stuttgart 202. The international exhibition for the fastener and fixing industry, which was scheduled to take place at the Messe Stuttgart Exhibition Centre in Germany, 9-11 November 2021, will, instead, run 21–23 March 2023.
Liljana Goszdziewski, portfolio director of Fastener Fair Stuttgart, commented: “This early announcement will allow planning security for all participants, and it will ensure that the event can continue its critical role in bringing the global fastener and fixing industry together again in 2023.”
In the meantime, Mack-Brooks Exhibitions will run the new digital event, Fastener Fair CONNECT, 17-18 November 2021. It aims to allow the international fastener and fixing community to gather in a dedicated online marketplace at least this year.
Fastener Fair CONNECT will aim to lead the way to a series of roadshow events, planned to run in 2022, which will offer fastener and fixing professionals opportunities to meet and stay connected with the industry. Fastener Fair Italy, already planned from 30 November-1 December 2022, will be one of the events in the series.
