International Confex has confirmed the participants of its exhibition-led advisory board ahead of its 2021 show, scheduled for 22-23 June at ExCeL London.
The advisory board will help steer the content agenda for the for the show to cater for the needs of exhibition organisers and suppliers.
Further advisory boards catering for the needs of corporate event planners, associations, and agencies will be announced at a later date.
The show’s portfolio director Liz Agostini said that 2021 was an important year to get right with regards to content, as the landscape of the industry has potentially changed forever. “Our programme will reflect the ideas and challenges of the industry, and our advisory boards have been invaluable in helping to shape it,” she said.
Exhibitions advisory board member Ed Tranter, who is managing director at 73 Media, said the board has worked hard to develop the show. “We have a unique insight because we are all so invested in our sector,” he said. “We are trying to create things that answer the questions we all have. We all have a shared concern, shared goals and shared desires and I think we’re uniquely placed to help deliver.”
Global marketing director Alex Jones added that group identified what they saw as primary challenges facing exhibition organisers, such as revenue, content and communication, leadership and live logistics. “Hearing how our board were overcoming these challenges is vital to our planning and the insights we discovered have played a key role in helping us curate a relevant programme,” she said.
