The Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance (ECA) announced that its 2023 Legislative Action Day will take place in-person in Washington, DC on 1 June, and be held in partnership with Lippman Connects’ Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF).
ECA’s 2023 Legislative Action Day will bring advocates and leaders from across the face-to-face business events industry to Capitol Hill to meet with their members of Congress about the ECA’s federal policy priorities and the vital role that the industry plays in helping to spur economic growth, support job creation, and empower small businesses across the United States of America.
“After four long years, I can’t wait to finally welcome the industry back to Washington, DC for ECA Legislative Action Day,” said Vinnie Polito, ECA co-president. “Nothing beats meeting face-to-face, and that goes for advocacy, too. That’s why it is so important for us to be in Washington, DC on 1 June to meet with our elected officials about the policy issues that matter.”
ECEF takes place this year on 31 May and is a one-day information-sharing and networking event for leaders at associations and independent organisers.
“It is imperative for our industry to be heard on Capitol Hill, and ECEF pledges to do all it can to support ECA in this all-important initiative,” added Sam Lippman, president of Lippman Connects and producer of ECEF.
ECA is encouraging all industry leaders and advocates to make plans to be in Washington, DC on Thursday, 1 June, 2023 as the industry comes together to make its collective voice heard on Capitol Hill.
