“This year we have 338 exhibitors and 462 buyers from 65 countries. This is a new record for Meetings Africa,” said Amanda Kotze-Nhlapo, National Convention Bureau Chief Officer, ahead of the show’s 2019 edition opening in Johannesburg, 26 February.
On the eve of the opening there were Business Opportunity Network (BONDay) sessions at the Sandton Convention Centre, where Kotze-Nhlapo welcomed guests, 25 February.
There was an early motivation session from mountaineer Sibusiso Vilane, keynote at the BONDay sessions. “To reach new heights and achieve great things, we need one thing and that is self belief that we can do it,” he told the audience.
Second speaker up was Mquondisi Gumede, Founder and CEO of The OMG, speaking on ‘Using future technologies to tap into opportunities’.
IMEX Group is also running a Future Leaders Forum session during BONDay.
Meetings Africa runs 26-27 February in the Sandton Convention Centre.
