Jörn Holtmeier has been appointed the new Managing Director of AUMA, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry.
Holtmeier’s predecessor, Dr. Peter Neven, retired at the end 2019. Holtmeier has previously worked for the Daimler Group as Deputy Head of the Corporate Representative Office for Federal Affairs in Berlin, focusing on transport and environmental policy.
Holtmeier commented: ‘”The exhibition industry is a very exciting international business that extends into almost all areas of the German economy as well as fields of policy. My experience in representing business interests will be especially valuable here. I’m pleased to be able to work with a highly motivated team on promoting current topics in the exhibition industry.”
AUMA, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, has 73 members, including 38 industry associations representing exhibitors, visitors and service companies, as well as 35 exhibition organisers.
