Association of Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries moves SecD-Day 2025 to Messukeskus

The Association of Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (AFDA) is to organise the next SecD-Day event at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre on 29–30 January 2025. SecD-Day presents Finnish technological innovations and know-how in the field of defence, security, space and aviation.

SecD-Day 2025 is a two-day invitation-only event consisting of a conference programme and an exhibition.

SecD-Day was organised for the first time in Helsinki in the spring of 2023 at Tapahtumakeskus Koskenranta, Helsinki. Host venue for the January 2025 edition will be Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre (Messukeskus). The Centre will be responsible for the practical arrangements, sales and marketing of SecD-Day on behalf of AFDA. The programme of the event is planned by AFDA. Messua Oy will continue as the technical partner of the event.

“SecD-Day increases direct interaction between defence, security, space and aviation companies and authorities. The new event was already well received the first time it was organised, and it has every chance to grow into a significant event in the Northern European region. Moving to Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre and co-operating with the industry's leading event organiser enables the long-term development and growth of the event,” says Tuija Karanko, AFDA secretary general.

“We are happy that AFDA chose us as their partner. Our solid experience in organising events, our functioning exhibition and conference facilities, and our certified security expertise support AFDA and the defence and security technology companies participating in the event. Together, we can offer the Finnish defence industry an excellent showcase,” says business manager Marcus Bergström from the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

AFDA was founded in 1994, has 160 member companies.  www.afda.fi
