Now that the Hallenstadion, Messe Zürich and Zurich Tourism have teamed up to form the Arena Convention Expo Zurich (ACE), Switzerland can offer virtually unlimited options when it comes to staging corporate events, trade fairs, sporting events and international congresses. Organisers can look forward to adding new dimensions to their events – not just in terms of infrastructure but also in respect of the service quality provided.

No doubt you have frequently found yourself in a situation where, when planning events, you have to tailor your occasion to the particular setting encountered on site. Now, however, Zurich has come up with an offer that is just as varied as its customers’ needs. Apart from the Hallenstadion, which is the country’s largest event hall with a surface area of 14,000m2, organisers also have access to the seven halls at the adjacent exhibition centre, with an overall floor space of 30,000 m2 and a selection of conference rooms. "As soon as the trade fair and congress business picks up again, we will be ready to accept enquiries for events that we have been unable to accommodate in the past due to a lack of capacity”, says Renzo Cannabona, the deputy director in charge of ACE at the Hallenstadion Zurich, in explaining the idea behind the launch.

This organisation, which markets Zurich as a holiday paradise and a business destination, sees the cooperation of the three players as a major advantage, especially in the case of large-scale events. “ACE brings together existing know-how and creates a location of European significance. This constitutes a huge opportunity for our city.”

Venues

Halls 1 + 2

Halls 1 and 2 are the two largest halls at Messe Zurich offering a total of 9,140 m2 floor space. The halls can be used separately or joined together and are particularly suitable for large, heavy exhibits. The “Verde” self-service restaurant seating 450 has a wide choice of food on offer. 

Halls 3 + 4

Halls 3 and 4 at Messe Zurich have an overall area of 7,680 m2 and can be joined together if required. Visitors can also spend time in the adjacent “Azzurro” restaurant seating 180 and the associated snack bar with 70 seats.

Halls 5 + 6

Halls 5 and 6 at Messe Zurich, with an area of 7,576 m2, provide direct access to conference rooms K1 to K5. Refreshments are available for visitors in the “Yellow” restaurant seating 180 and the snack bar of this same name which seats 70.

Hall 7

The light-flooded Hall 7 with its blackout options is the perfect choice for a whole range of events. Rooms K6 and K7 are on the same floor and can additionally be rented if required. Alongside the 2,565 m2 exhibition space, the “Amarillo” restaurant seats 200 guests.

Arena

The Arena is not only the place where sports events and concerts are staged in the Hallenstadion, it also provides an exceptional venue for corporate occasions of all sizes. Its surface area of 3,900 m2 makes it ideal for events with up to 15,000 people.

Foyer

The 1,900 m2 foyer of the Hallenstadion can accommodate corporate events for 200 to 500 people. Its restrained architecture offers you a wealth of design options. It also has direct access to the Conference Center tract, with eleven group rooms.
