Reed CEO to speak at ECEF with a sense of purpose

Reed Exhibitions’ CEO is one of the two CEO keynoters announced for the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF), which runs 27 May, 2020, in Washington, DC.

“Two CEOs will bring two very different experiences, perspectives, and messages to ECEF in 2020,” said ECEF organiser Sam Lippman, President, Lippman Connects.

The opening keynote will be presented by Chet Burchett, CEO, Reed Exhibitions. Titled ‘Focusing on Dreams, Not Concrete’, executives will hear how the ‘power of purpose’ will keep the event industry vibrant in the next decade. “Chet will discuss how we need to maintain a balance between data-driven technologies and the beating heart of our events,” said Lippman.

Julie Cottineau will offer the closing keynote, ‘Innovation with a Brand twist’. Cottineau is CEO and Founder of BrandTwist, and former VP of Brand for Richard Branson’s Virgin. She will explore the power of brand to drive stronger, more profitable events. “All available data prove that exhibitors and attendees have more choices than ever, increasing the importance and value of our brand,” said Lippman. “That’s why I am so excited that Julie will reveal her secret sauce.”

Additional presentations are under development. A welcome reception will be held on the evening of 26 May and a TechDemo will feature 14 hands-on demonstrations of event-ready technologies.
