Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) has announced its acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, of international tradefair for textile sector, FIMAST.
The organiser and venue operator bought the international tradefair for machinery and accessories for the textile and hosiery sector from Principemedia Srl.
The FIMAST exhibition is a big showcase for textile machinery for sock-making in particular and attracts major yarn producers. The exhibition takes place every two years at Brixia Expo in Brescia, with its next edition scheduled for 27-30 May 2020.
The event is the only major exhibition in Italy for the sector and the purchase of FIMAST signifies further activity in IEG’s acquisition strategy aimed at consolidating its exhibition portfolio in the technological-industrial sector.
IEG is expected to be able to attract more international buyers and consolidate FIMAST's growth in new markets, a request from exhibiting companies.
