Cyber Security Nordic gets underway in Helsinki

Cyber Security Nordic, a conference and exhibition focusing on the cyber security industry, is beginning today, 2 October, in Helsinki.

The event is aimed at executives, decision-makers and government officials, and features keynote sessions advising on security policy and tech innovations.

It will run over two days in Messukeskus Helsinki, ending 3 October. Messukeskus is organising the event in cooperation with the Finnish Information Security Cluster (FISC).

Juha Remes, Executive Director of FISC, commented: “The importance of cyber security is increasing year by year. Cyber security offers new business opportunities for solution providers and users. If security issues are not taken care of, damage and recovering from it can cause major problems.

“We learn from the past, examine the present, and trust the future – which we can significantly influence by making the right decisions.

"Cyber Security Nordic brings together industry leaders to illustrate how cyber security is part of the business of companies and organisations, how it affects competitiveness, and the role cyber security plays in society. The event will also feature cyber industry trends and phenomena.”

The event will include the Cyber Security Nordic Award – a grant of €25,000 for a person or organisation that has significantly contributed to the development of cybersecurity.
