Safe Events secures Halo effect in Ireland

Ireland-based event management company Safe Events has secured the exclusive Irish rights to deploy Crest Planning’s event safety app, Halo, at its client’s events.

Halo is a C3i (Command, Control, Communications & intelligence) event management software.

Key among Halo’s attributes is its audit trail, whereby log entries during an event cannot be edited and are time-stamped. Incidents and responses are also managed and updated within the app, which creates a corresponding log of developments as well as decisions taken in event control. Clients are offered a comprehensive record of all events and actions, useful for reporting and internal analysis or, indeed, for any potential litigation or court proceedings.

The Halo software was recently used at the ICC Cricket World Cup in the UK and already counts a range of events, venues, emergency services and local authorities among its clients.

The software was trialled and tested by Safe Events during the Wild Lights events at Dublin Zoo in 2018. Safe Events also recently deployed Halo at this year’s Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann, where over 600,000 people enjoyed the festivities in Drogheda over the course of eight days of activity.

Safe Events’ Director, Mark Breen, says of the partnership: “We invested a lot of time into researching options for software like this and Halo was by far the best we found.”

Lloyd Major, CEO & Co-Founder of Crest Planning, adds: “We are delighted to secure a deal with Safe Events. We value our personal relationship with Mark and his team who have been, and continue to be, great partners in the industry for us and everyone else who follows their work and blogs. It’s also a great step forward for us to launch our first overseas distributor and we have found the perfect professional partner to help us take our first steps towards establishing a global Halo distribution network.”
