Technology and festivalisation to top agenda of HKECIA Annual Conference

HKECIA Conference

The increasing importance of technology in creating smart events and the festivalisation of events are the issues at the head of the agenda of the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Industry Association (HKECIA) Conference on 6 June 2019. The annual conference will be followed by the association’s 29th Annual Dinner at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Earlier this year the HKECIA Education Subcommittee surveyed the association’s members on what they felt the most pressing issues facing the exhibition and events industry in Hong Kong and those two trends stood out.

The 2019 HKECIA Conference will offer presentations and panel discussions from seven leading industry experts, including representatives from UFI and IAEE the two largest global exhibition industry associations.

Speakers include Ian Chan, Senior Director, Business Development, International Business Group, Tencent and Justin Choy, MD at Creative Technology Hong Kong. Also speaking will be Michelle Cao, Founder and CEO of VPhoto and Gu Xuebin, Chairman, IAEE Asia Council, Managing Partner SINOPlus; Mark Cochrane, UFI Regional Manager, Asia Pacific and Sarah Williamson, VP and Creative Director, Jack Morton.
