The 4th edition of CONVENE, held at the Litexpo centre from 10-11 February in Vilnius, has closed with endorsements from the hosted buyer and exhibitor communities.

Some 170 hosted buyers from 27 countries were joined by VIP visitors from Lithuania undertaking 3,625 pre scheduled appointments.

Nearly 550 attended the education programme with 28 sessions across two days. Almost 50% of buyers participated in five fam tours with the further 70 taking advantage of complimentary Vilnius city tours.

"The Vilnius meetings industry supply chain has collaborated to present an event with style and panache which show cases what our city, our country and the Baltic Sea region has to offer", said Jolanta Beniuliene, the director of CONVENE exhibition and Vilnius Convention Bureau.
The annual B2B event aims to focus attention on the Baltic Sea Region.

CONVENE 2016 boasted a record number of exhibitors from 10 different countries. Guest exhibitors from Slovakia and Ukraine joined Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Finish, Swedish, Danish, Polish and Russian met with services providers.

The key ration of buyers per exhibiting organisation remained above 2:1, the show reported.
Aigars Smiltans from MEET Riga said: "CONVENE ticks all the boxes for Riga, truly excellent organisation and delivery, great buyer numbers with real quality all backed up with very good networking events and opportunities, high quality education and the provision of a fam trip to here in Riga immediately following CONVENE itself.“

Martin Ellis from Team Umbrella Limited added: "CONVENE was exceptionally well managed, and provided an opportunity to meet a hand-picked selection of top quality suppliers, all under one roof. The mix and balance of exhibitors was exactly as one would wish for, the appointments were structured and informative, and the location and facilities made for an excellent show. Outside of meetings, the social programme gave us the chance to continue meetings informally at some truly exclusive venues. It was an event well worth attending and we hope to be invited to future events. “

Florence Maion from FM Events continued: “CONVENE allowed me to meet as many professionals, get plenty of information that will help me to offer, promote and sell Baltic Countries. This concept is great, it allows to concentrate, deepen knowledge and meet professionals on a specific geographical area.”

The next CONVENE will be held on 8 -9 February 2017.
