Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) has reported a rise in delegate numbers at WTM London's conference programme last month, following a successful 2015 event with 30,344 visitors at the exhibition.

The event drew a 2.2 per cent increase in delegate attendance and a six per cent in attendance over the entire event programme, during 2-5 November at Excel London.

The first day of WTM London 2015 included the WTM Leaders’ Lunch with former Manchester United CEO David Gill speaking to 200 travel industry leaders, while Day 2 saw 600 people attend the WTM & UNWTO Ministers’ Summit on Destination Branding.

WTM London also hosted a Travel Tech Show and a WTM Bloggers’ Speed Networking event with 100 bloggers talking to exhibitors for 90 minutes.

Organiser RTE expects the event to end up facilitating £2.5bn in industry deals, which, if realised, would be a record for all the previous 36 World Travel Markets.

WTM London, conference and seminar manager, Charlotte Sutton said: “The WTM London Conference and Seminar programme was a great success with a record number of unique and overall attendees listening and learning from high profile speakers from both inside and outside the travel and tourism industry.”
