UFI estimates that each year more than 30,000 fair events are organised worldwide, with 2.8 million direct exhibitors and 260 million visitors. The organisation was founded in 1925 in Milan to promote cooperation among different fair organisations and to revitalise the sector after the end of World War I.

For more from the UFI Congress, look out for the next edition of Exhibition World, due out in February.
