Selina Chavry appointed Pacific World global MD

Global event management specialist and DMC, Pacific World, has appointed Selina Chavry as its new global MD.

Pacific World operates in 30 countries and said the appointment heralds a new phase of development into Latin America, North Europe, the Mediterranean, India and China in the coming months, as well as further investment in the event management space globally.

Chavry was previously regional director, Asia for the company and has developed a career in the industry over 15 years, including roles in London, Sydney and Singapore. She has a track record as an events innovator and specialist in DMC and Strategic Meetings Management areas.

In parallel, Herve Joseph-Antoine takes the role of chairman for Pacific World and expands his responsibilities within parent company Hotelbeds Group as regional managing director, Asia Pacific, destination management.

Chavry said she was “excited” to take the lead of Pacific World which, in the past four years, she said, had transformed into a top, global market player.

“Together with Herve, we want to continue leading the way. Constantly challenging our business models is a must in an industry that is transforming so much,” Chavry added.
